Set Up
An attendant of the moon base turned around on his heel with fake energy coming out of his pores to prepare to introduce the new astronauts to their abode for the next five years. A sharp noise ringed in listening Astronauts ears as he turned on his mic.“With the advancements of technology, we are able to excel in almost everything. We have improved in defense, discoveries from the world you previously lived in, and overall making your stay here something to die for.” A wide grin followed after his words that unsettled some.
They all accepted to become Guinea Pigs for different reasons, but the main factor was most likely the immense reward they would get if they survived those years. Their only objective here was to 'enjoy their stay' as residents of the first ever moon base planned for the public to live in. If they could get so much for so little, what could be the risk?
“Your luggage has already been taken to your rooms. You were all given a map of the base when you entered; or so I have been told.”
The map the astronauts were given were quite vague. Some spots showed to be completely blacked out, and the rooms were only divided by pen draw circles. The astronauts were given these maps, keys for their rooms, a schedule, and a surprising bracelet with a charm of a Waxing Crescent Moon.
The base looked very prestigious. It had a glass ceiling so you could always look out at the universe. The white tiled floors looked spotlessly clean, as if a spec of dust had never been near it. And the walls were marble. The halls and the rooms followed the same pattern. The rest looked much like just an average hotel room. There was a bed, a Computer Desk, a Television, a Mini Fridge, and lighting. The bathrooms also managed to be typical yet nice... Yet there was something off about the entire atmosphere. They felt like lambs being slowly but surely lead to slaughter....
Who knows what will befall the residents of The Moon Base, or what they will become.

Akirra looked down at her map as she strode away from the others, turning it this way and that as she attempted to figure out where her room was located. She couldn't exactly tell which room was hers, so, with a shrug, she decided to just try her key in every room until she found her own. As she made her way towards the first room on her map, she let her gaze travel over the area. It all looked very clean and neat, but maybe just too much for her liking.

Antedeluvian
Antediluvian stood next to the other girls as they shuffled around. She sighed, rolling her eyes slightly and taking a sip from the coffee mug she had sneaked from the entrance vending machine. Fancy that? A vending machine on the moon! Grimacing, she looked down at the mug in absolute horror to find it tastes more like dirt than coffee. But as a slight buzz kicked her in the head, she smiled and hugged the mug tight. The first thing she had done was bin the useless creation which was a map. She couldn't read it, she wouldn't even try. Deluvia knew she would just get lost. She towered over the other girls as she attempted to make her way through, bashing her head on an obviously too low door. Grumbling something about wether this was morning on the moon, she bent down and went through the door.
Her lips puckered slightly as she walked in to what could only be described as their poor equivalent of a living room. There were several books scattered on a shelf above a fake, glowing fire place. It made spitting noises from a badly concealed speaker and one the lights was flickering wrong. She wondered why they didn't use a hologram, then remembered that money was probably set aside for them. Delusion had important plans for that money- A life time of paints, books and coffee beans from the secret ports in south america. They were said to be the best coffee in the world. Deluvia smiled just thinking about it, a dimple forming on the left of her face.
Pulling her hair up out of her face and fastening it with a pencil, she looked around more of the room. Several comfortable looking armchairs were scattered around tables facing the giant flat screen TV. It was obviously a few years old, since they were still using glass not the newly-found structure Crystallite Grace Armstrong brought back from Mars and had copied into a man made substance. They called it the Neil TV after her ancestor, who was the first man on this rock. The thought of being miles away from everything didn't seem to bother Deluvia until she looked over the books.
"These" She said under her breathe, flicking through them "Are all" She took another harsh breath "Space manuals." She felt as if she was going to tear up at this moment, sitting in an armchair and having a look over them again. Her assumption was complete. There was a book on the stations AC, the stations basic door use and the stations microwave. They had to be the most boring 400 pages made. She questioned how they even had space for four hundred pages on a basic door which used the magnetised lock system created eons ago.
Deluvia quickly looked around before scurrying through her bag, peeking her nose into it. She had taken many useless things aboard with her, including her second addition copy of "Little Women". There was no known first editions left. Crossing her legs on the armchair, she skipped to page 120, where her favourite part took place. She had read it approximately 20 times, memorising every word by heart.
She read aloud, knowing no one else had yet found this gift of a little room. The fire let off some heat making her feel more comfortable as she shoved a pillow onto her lap, leaning her elbows on it. Lifting her cup to her lips and taking a long, pained sip, she flipped the page of her book before placing in a torn off page of the microwave manual to keep her page number. She felt no remorse vandalising that atrocity of a book. Standing up, she picked up her mug and looked around.
Biscuits. She needed biscuits.

Caine
Caine was off greeting duty, sitting by the monitors as he watched the residents walk in. He looked down at his tablet, placing his pen on it to type in his password and open his document. Caine had been assigned to one resident so far, who he was meant to befriend and watch over. Slowly, he would begin the experiments.
Akirra Desling
Eighteen years old
Identifies as female 5"3.
Her details scattered across the page and he murmured them to himself before looking back up to the monitor. He tapped it and spoke out loud in a clear, Irish accent "Show me Akirra Desling." He ordered, waiting for the monitor to begin searching the faces of the crowd. It abruptly left the small mob to search elsewhere and Caine raised an eyebrow. Curiosity kills the cat, Akirra. Leaning away he pushed off the desk towards a machine, clicking a few buttons and grabbing a coke. He popped the can, letting it fizz before taking a long drink. The Adams Apple on his throat moved slightly as the liquid slid down. He opened his mouth and exhaled heavily, pushing off the machine back to the desk and placing his feet up. Several cans littered his workplace and he picked them up, throwing them with elite accuracy into the bin which whirred, taking it off to the dump. It flashed green after doing so, making a little ding . Caine sighed "I am going to have to hack into the system and change that noise before I kill every one of my fellow teammates." He mumbled, looking back to the screen.
He smiled, features brightening as the monitor showed him the resident. He picked out a few things straight away. She was going to be quite, her posture said so as she looked around. His first assumption was also correct, she was an adventurer. Her eyes were scanning the place as if scoping out a new terrain, quick and smart as a cat. Leaning back in the chair he let out a sigh. Yes, she was going to be difficult. The look in her face screamed wariness of her surroundings.
Typing a few notes into his tablet, he watched the "Circle of doom" go round and round as he waited for it to save. When it finally did, he powered it off and folded it back to fit in his pocket. Caine stood up, throwing on a casual baggy shirt and shuffling himself carelessly into some faded jeans. He ran a hand through his hair, looking into the black glass of a sleeping monitor just to grimace. He needed to shave and he needed to sort out his hair, but he knew neither would be neat if down. Shaking and pulling his hand out, he placed his hand on a security pad and typed in a code, listening to the hiss of the lock before stepping out into the corridor. He watch buzzed and he looked down, the exact location of the resident he had saved in his tablet showing up.
"Time to go make a friend." He said with a slight sigh, sounding rather bored.

She noticed a mirror placed on a vanity table and walked over to it, looking at her reflection. "Argh!" Deluvian siad in a high pitched voice, jumping away from it before calming down. God did she look hideous today. Her purple hair was an absolute mess, falling out everywhere and knotting slightly within the bobble. Her eyes looked bruised like a pandas from lack of sleep and the tiring journey. Next to her white skin she looked almost dead expect for the vibrant red now flushing her cheeks. Her baggy long sleeved shirt was slipping off one shoulder and she gave up trying to pull it up after a few minutes, instead began to rub her eyelids. They were sore, her eyes feeling heavy and dry. Perhaps she should try to get some sleep after she finds the biscuits. Walking down the hall, she checked the walls for directions before, after about fifteen minutes, finding a plaque labeled "Food room". Deluvian grinned and began to run down the corridor, chasing after the possibility of a good biscuit.

Her eyes drifted across the hall until she finally spotted another door at the very end. She had already passed several rooms, none of which had been a bedroom. One, however, had piqued her interest as it had been an exercise room. She would have to return and investigate it more after she found her room. Her black and blue tennis shoes squeaked loudly, much to her annoyance, as she approached the room. It looked to be a bedroom, as there were no glass windows showing a view inside. "Please just let this be the one." She mumbled under her breath as she pulled the key out of the pocket of her pants. She preferred to explore this place when there was no destination in mind. She always found it easier to remember her way when she was not as focused. Inserting the key into the lock, she let out a small groan of annoyance when it wouldn't turn. She banged her head against the plain door once before removing the key and turning on her heels and heading down the corridor to her left. She paused as an idea struck her and she slipped the only thing she had bothered to bring along out of her pocket. It was a small, red marker that could be clipped onto a key chain if someone had wanted to. Backtracking to where the corridors turned left, she crouched at the corner and uncapped the marker. She smiled at the scent of green apples and a hint of chemicals as she ran the marker over the corner once. One mark, one time past this corner. Should she pass it again, she'd mark it again. Capping the marker, she stuffed it back into her back pocket and got to her feet. With a small, satisfied smile, she continued on down the hall. ( Tiger )

He had taken a quick way through a few passages which were staff only until he had found her. He was rather impressed by her so far, her intuition was surprising. Caine was holding two apples out in his hands, palms facing upwards to keep them stable "You know, I should really call you in for vandalism." He said in an amused voice. His voice was low, his Irish accent lacing within it "Or you could let me walk you to your actual room, Akkira." He said, raising an eyebrow and waiting for her to turn and look at him. His watch beeped and he disabled it in annoyance before returning to his previous emotion mask. He wore a badge with his last name scribbled out; pinned to his faded, red shirt. It now looked a pale pink in places. The colour of his shirt vibrantly contradicted everything around it, including the green apples. He didn't even like apples, and he hoped she would take one gratefully. He had to travel half the ship to find them. For a man as self centred as him, that was a big trek.

Having turned around as she had spoken to him, she crossed her arms over her chest and rubbed the material of her jacket with her thumb in an attempt to calm herself.

Sure, someone could have told him and showed him a picture, but that's something not many people did nowadays.

[Adara]
One of her socks still missing, her shoulder bare from her baggy sweater drooping, Adara was walking out of the Cafeteria sleepily with a snack in hand only to have a large shadow loom over her and then knock her over with immense speed.
AntedeluvianDeluvian let out a screech, managing to trip over what she believed to be a sack of biscuits. She skidded across the floor slightly, the marble carrying her. Her cheek lay squashed against it as she lay there for a moment like a starfish before beginning to laugh, rolling onto her back and pulling her knees to her chest as she sat up. She laughed until her pressed a hand to her stomach, wiping some tears away before looking at the sack of biscuits. "You're not a sack of biscuits." She said with a frown, squinting her eyes.

Dara laid flat on the floor while facing up to the ceiling, slightly dizzy, and her snack long abandoned; tossed somewhere unknown to her in the moment.
"I am Adara, a human. Or maybe because we're in outer space, I'm actually an alien."
She let out a slight giggle that seemed a little more roboty than cheerful.
"I'm looking for biscuits." Deluvian was already standing up, throwing stuff off the shelves "And I'm Antediluvian, but please call me Deluvian. My parents decided to make me a joke and name me after something from the bible."

She spun on her heel and quickly began walking down the hall again. "Wait!" He said quickly, walking after her quickly "I'm bored." He whined. She shrugged. "Sorry." Continuing on at a slightly faster pace, she hurried through the halls until she found another bedroom door.

Samantha
I had separated myself from the groups and found my room after a few awkward walk ins. I unpacked my things and plugged in all of my devices. Thank everything that was no wifi password. And the wifi is surprisingly fast here. I jump onto my bed and relax. The pillows here are so fluffy, and I like what they did with the ceiling.

"I'm looking for biscuits." Deluvian was already standing up, throwing stuff off the shelves "And I'm Antediluvian, but please call me Deluvian. My parents decided to make me a joke and name me after something from the bible."
[Adara]
Turning over and lifting herself up, Adara tugged on the sleeve of Deluvia's shirt and pointed to a biscuit tin to her right.
"There are some over there. I am Adara, please call me Adara. I like your name, Deluvia... it's fascinating and different."
She jumped towards the biscuit tin like a cat then proceeded to plop herself on the floor. Through a mouthful of biscuit she looked up and gave a closed mouth smile, her eyes crinkling slightly in the corners, before covering her mouth and muffling out a "Thank you." She held out the tin for Adara.

Caine sighed, standing in the hall way before walking to a door and placing his hand on it, pushing into the box a five digit code. It flashed green and he walked through, letting it shut after him. Pulling out his tablet, he began to record data. Refusal for friendly interaction, lack of interest in earth fruit, fast walker. He stopped for a moment before writing the next line. Risky.

(The first time I read that, I thought it said frisky for a second XD) Stopping, she glanced over her shoulder to see an empty hall. "Thank goodness he left." She sighed, relaxing almost instantly and looking down at the apple. She loved apples. They were one of her favorite fruits. She just preferred to not take them from strangers. Approaching the door she had spotted, she inserted the key and smiled when she heard the door unlock. Pushing it open, she hurried into her room and threw the door shut behind her.
