She shook her head, knowing he was avoiding her question. But that was exactly what she was getting at. Sometimes you don't know everything nor see everything. He didn't seem like a blue flower.... more like a closed one just needed to open. "I miss the sand and the ocean. It's beautiful..especially at night. With the stars shining on them....it's amazing." She looked down at the crown and frowned slightly before looking up at him and smiling as their eyes met. "So what made you want to come here?" ainsley
The sea. He imagined the sea at night, her words creating a world as he looked at her. At how her expressions changed, and the subtly hints of confusion (or something) settled in the edges. "I can understand why. The ocean is our own way of saying that we're alive, that we exist. We wouldn't have been on the moon if it hadn't been for the existence of the ocean."
What had made him come to the lunar base? It had been a lifetime opportunity, it was a way to escape from the earth and reimagine life. "It was rather... impulsive. An opportunity that I couldn't turn away from. I mean, the moon. The circle in the sky at night, the one we only dream about going to, and suddenly-- and suddenly there's an opportunity to do just that," he glanced down at the crown, taking it in his hand before settling it onto her head. "What about you?""I-I never thought about it like that. To me, the ocean was just a way of getting away from life. An escape. One I needed pretty often." She chuckled softly. She really had never thought about the ocean that way. It had really just been a place for her to get away from her hectic life, which she was grateful for. Akirra smiled when he put the crown on her head. "Kind of like a new adventure?" She reached up and touched the crown, feeling the soft petals against her fingertips. "That's why I came. It sounded like an adventure I just didn't want to miss." |

I mean, haven't you been dreaming of going to space, to live in a safe bubble with death just out the safety latch?" He picked up a piece of grass, tickling it against her cheek before falling backwards onto the ground. Stretching, closing his eyes instead.
"I wonder what I would have been doing right now if I hadn't gone to space. Would I just be inside, binge watching something?" |

I go back to my after the pictures were printed and start I doing things I have always wanted to do in space, or on the moon in this case. I wonder why they never named earths moon like they do with the others. Plutos' moons have cool names while our moon is just known as moon.
I look at the list I had made on earth. Which was quite long, enough to keep me occupied for awhile. It had the basics in the beginning of the list, but as I read forward I can see when I started running out of ideas and went with some of the most random things.

He nodded his head, quietly, pushing himself up from the ground. Looking over her, he settled a hand on her head, ruffling up her hair. "Apologises," he whispered, stretching his arms above his head. "Although I enjoy being with you, and would be here for like, forever, I'm gonna hit the bed. I mean..." He rubbed the back of his neck. He hated turning down conversations and keeping people with company.
"I think it's for the best, for the both of us. Too much excitement in one day," he laughed awkwardly. |

Taking her hand in his, he tugged her up in a standing position, laughing as he did. "We all need sleep; I, most certainly, want to sleep some hours. I'm only human, and staying up longer than necessary isn't the ideal thing," he told her, his fist gently meeting her shoulder. "But yeah. I-- I'm glad I took the courage to speak to you back in the cafeteria, Akirra." Bouncing to her feet, she nodded in agreement "I could use some sleep too." "Want me to walk to your room? Or are you going to be fine by yourself?" he thought back on her retelling of the apple guy, his inner self shivered out of the creeping tone the guy had. He stood there, tripping back and forth on his feet as he watched her. "And I had fun as well." "If you want to, sure." "Pity that us humans needs energy and all that jazz," he told her with a humouring tone, giving a small throaty laugh. "We could have achieved so much by constantly being awake. Of course we wouldn't be as imaginative, but-- oh well. Sleep is necessary on a growing brain." |
